Ticket prices of T20 international match at Barabati announced

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Saturday announced the prices of tickets for the T20I series between India and Sri Lanka to be played at Barabati stadiumin Cuttack on December 20.



OCA officials said a match viewer will have to pay Rs 600 for gallery 1 and 3, Rs 500 for gallery 2 and 4, Rs 400 for gallery 6 and 7, Rs 200 for gallery 6 (players concession only for affiliated units), Rs 3,000 for special enclosure, Rs 5,000 for new pavilion, Rs 8,000 for corporate box and Rs 5,000 for A/C box (gallery 4).
Ticket will be sold to general public through separate counters between 9 am and 5 pm from December 16. One person is allowed to purchase only two tickets. CCTV cameras will be installed at each ticket counter, said an official.

Seating capacity of the Barabati stadium is 43,829. As many as 32,403 tickets will be printed for the match. A total of 22,041 tickets (counter sale with online) are for public sale and 10,362 tickets for BCCI sponsors, members and affiliated units of OCA and BCCI. The match has been insured for Rs 21.71 crore.

The players will stay at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar. Two air-conditioned Volvo buses of the OSRTC will be used for transportation of the players from hotel to cricket ground and vice versa.
Entire ticketing of this T20 match has been entrusted to a Mumbai-based company. For the safety purpose, they will be printing tickets outside of the state with inclusion of Holograms, bar code and other security features, said an official.


General spectators can park their vehicles at Baliyatra ground (upper and lower), while members of OCA and other dignitaries can park their vehicles at Cricket Academy through Gate 1. Media persons can use Cambridge School Campus as their parking lot.
A preparatory meeting was held here on Saturday. Later police commissioner YB Khurania told media that the commissionerate police have issued advisory to the organizing committee to arrange proper lighting system inside the stadium and parking area. Adequate signage will be there to help the spectators. Drinking water bottle will not be allowed to the stadium. So the organisers will arrange drinking water for the spectators.


"We discussed everything in detail about preparation of the match. We also discussed arrangements at airport, hotel and cricket venue," he added.
