KR Nandini is a typical Karnatakat girl. She is also a tech-savvy. She loves idli-sambhar and all stuffs that a simple and sober girl loves.  She says:–
“Study all the time is quite a boring thing. I read novels a lot, specially of Jane Austen. Always keep yourself updated with issues happening around you. I am a news maniac ..won’t ask you to become one but start loving and following news..i am sure you will start enjoying it as well.”
When she was asked how you prepared for your optional subject (mains), she answered simply:—
For my optional subject Kannada Literature, I emphasized on making my concepts very clear and re-read the textbooks. If you study one subject and shift to another, you will not feel bored. I read all of these books, different books cater to different portions of the syllabus so I have just enumerated them.
KR Nandini started her preparation when she was in 11th standard. Her mom in fact suggested to choose her own language as an optional subject. Her grooming started in Class 11th and she took science. She was also the topper of her school-time and then completed her B.Tech. She added there was no specific strategy she adopted for prelims and mains. For prelims, though she arts student, she focused more on Paper 2nd (CSAT). She joined mock classes as well she practiced at home. She told NDTV  “It is indeed a proud moment for me,”.
