Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha's murder mystery 'Ittefaq' finally hit theatres last Friday. The film that is inspired by Yash Chopra's 1969 flick of the same name, collected Rs 15.05 crore over the weekend, states a report on BoxofficeIndia.com.
'Ittefaq' opened to decent response on Friday, with Rs 3.80 crore followed by Rs 5.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 6 crore on Sunday.

Shah Rukh Khan, who co-produced 'Ittefaq', said he was mighty impressed by the lead pair but called Akshaye Khanna his favourite for his portrayal of the no-nonsense cop in the film. SRK reportedly wanted to be in the film but things didn't seem to work out in his favour.
